Pencil Rocket and Sadaharu Oh in Kokubunji

Some noted places are in Kokubunji,Tokyo. I introduce two today and both are adjacent.
The first is "The Japanese space development birthplace". The horizontal discharge of the pencil rocket is performed in this ground in 1955 by a young researcher led by Professor Hideo Itokawa, Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo and is the monument which memorialized the 50th anniversary. This time capsule to open out underground 50 years later is buried.
The second is a baseball player. I achieve a world record of home run 756 and am a monument of Sadaharu Oh who won first Japanese People's Honor Award. It is written as willpower(気力) to a black ball. This place is a site of Waseda Jitsugyo Gakko, and he is a graduate of here.
